About Murphy's Misfit Feirm

This land has been part of our family's farming story since 1978, when my parents began farming here in Fort Ann, New York. I grew up surrounded by farm life, and decades later, that same land became the home of Murphy's Misfit Feirm.

I created Murphy's Misfit Feirm in 2022 as my own chapter of the farm's story. Today, our family continues to raise animals, produce food, and make goods by hand right here on the farm.

Farm Raised. Farm Made.

Today, Murphy's Misfit Feirm is a working family farm where raising animals and making things by hand are part of everyday life. We raise cattle and other livestock, tend our bees, make maple syrup from our own trees, and create small-batch goods including candles, goat milk bath and body products, and more.

What we offer changes with the seasons, but the heart behind it stays the same: raising what we can, making what we can, and sharing a little piece of our farm with you.

Why We Do It

Murphy's Misfit Feirm is about more than the things we raise, grow, or make. It is about building life rooted in family, hard work, and a connection to the land that has supported our family for generations.

We believe there is something special about knowing where your food comes from, knowing the hands that made the things you bring into your home, and supporting small farms and local families. Whether you take home a dozen eggs, a jar of honey, a loaf of bread, or something we made here on the farm, we hope you are taking home a small piece of what we are building.
