Misfit Apiary - Crafted at Murphy's Misfit Feirm
Local Honey
Misfit Apiary is the beekeeping side of Murphy's Misfit Feirm in Fort Ann, New York.
Our bees forage across the fields, forests and wild areas surrounding our farm, gathering nectar from the changing blooms of northeastern New York.
The result is local honey that reflects the land and the season it came from.
Our Hives to Your Table
Our colonies follow the natural progression of blooms throughout the season, from spring trees and wildflowers through summer forage and the heavy goldenrod flow of late summer and fall.
Because the nectar available to our bees changes throughout the year, the color, aroma and flavor of our honey can change from one harvest to another.
That's part of what makes local honey unique.
Our Bees & Our Farm
Our bees aren't just producing honey.
They are part of the larger ecosystem surrounding Murphy's Misfit Feirm and play an important role in pollinating plants both on and around the farm.
We manage our colonies ourselves and continue expanding our apiary while raising queens and building colonies adapted to our local conditions.
